Being a Realtor takes of lot of investment. A commission is a marketing fee, but many other things are paid from a commission. Did you know that Realtors do not get paid until a sale is made? Can you think of any industry in which you put time into a job, not knowing if you will be paid or not?

Commissions help pay for the following:

• Advertising
• MLS Fees in all license states
• License fees in all license states Continuing Education requirements Errors and Omissions Insurance Office expenses; accounting, office supplies, office overhead such as heat, electricity, trash, etc.
• Client gifts/expenses
• Automobile expenses; gas, oil changes, tires, brakes, insurance and other maintenance, not to mention a car loan and taxes.
• Food! Yes, we all like food with our meals!
